For a few months now, I have been trying to lose my postpartum weight. And I have witnessed that just simple changes and choosing better alternatives every day can surely make a big difference when it comes to weight loss.
It sure is very hard, especially for someone with a sweet tooth like me! I am someone who can easily be tempted to have a tub full of ice cream and someone who procrastinates working out. But one thing I love more than Icecreams is my wardrobe! So whenever I am tempted to eat bad or skip my gym class, I look at all the clothes I don’t fit into anymore. And damn it really motivates me !!
After I put on all this weight, I tried to educate myself about health and fitness topics such as HIIT, portion control, counting calories, the importance of weight training etc. ( thanks to a lot of fitness experts providing really good information online ). A lot of success stories/transformations that I see online give me lots of positivity and the willingness to try and continue doing it! There is definitely no magic potion to lose weight quickly — The key is persistence.
A lot of my friends ( especially FTM’s) have asked me what dietary changes I am following. And those who know me, know that I have absolutely no interest in cooking!! That is why I find out VERY simple recipes that taste good and are super healthy! Sharing one of my all-time favorite alternative to sweets and ice creams here:
Ingredients:
- 15 Dates
- 10 Almonds
- Coconut powder ( 3 tbsp)
- Hemp protein ( 1.5 tbsp)
- Chia seeds ( 1 tsp)
- Flax seeds ( 1 tsp)
How to prepare:
Extremely easy !! Just blend everything together and form balls. Roll it in more coconut powder if you like.
NOTE: Dates don’t really help you in losing weight so although this is very healthy and a great replacement for desserts (that are loaded with sugar and calories), you should eat these in moderation too. One ball a day is enough!
These look fun, yummy and easy to make!
